Our School

Mission Statement

The mission of Welton Academy, Sacramento, is to liberate and equip Christians to live a New Covenant lifestyle.  Our students are hungry for truth, not just doctrine. They are willing to leave their comfort zone to pursue truth and freedom.   It is our passion to see all Christians operate in the supernatural, know their identity, walk in freedom, and be powerful people. We are not simply aiming at creating pastors and missionaries. No matter what your calling is, you must have a firm foundation in your identity, freedom, and the supernatural. We think long-term and build powerful people.

To be a part of where the Lord is leading the Church in the years to come, we must lay a new foundation in our understanding of the Word. The Word hasn’t changed, but some of our understanding of it must change; otherwise, we will hinder our growth and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

A powerful advantage of the Welton Academy, Sacramento, Supernatural Bible School is that while you are spiritually growing you are not isolated. You have the opportunity to interact with others who are growing in the same deep things you are learning. You are joining a movement with others who are pressing forward with God.

We are hosted by The Family Church in Roseville, California: a community of believers who are focused, passionate, and hungry for intimacy with God because they are loved by God and love Him. That hunger allows us to grow in Truth, come to love it, deeply enjoy it, allow it to transform us, and radically live it from a strong spirit. Passion engages our mind, emotions, bodies and energy to that thing (or One) that has captured us. When we love God with all our heart, spirit, soul, mind and strength we tap into His passion for the lost, the world and our self.  The Welton Academy, Sacramento, is an extension of that love, passion and truth.

Auditing students may continue to take the school, but cannot receive a graduation certificate without completing makeup work.  School administrator will determine the makeup assignments.

General Conduct:  Students are expected to conduct themselves in a culture of honor within the school body, with those placed in authority over them, and within their circles of influence.

CORE BELIEFS

Welton Academy has several core beliefs, that filter through everything  they teach, write or present.  We are passionately pursuing the truth that God has given us and believe the time for this revelation is now.  These beliefs include:

Identity

We believe that humanity has worth and value in the heart of God.  Because of man's tremendous worth, God sent Jesus to restore mankind's identity as sons.  Identity is integral to talking out one's calling and position in the kingdom of God. (Read Eyes of Honor by J. Welton & Precious in His Sight by H. Eberle)

New Covenant Freedom

We believe that Jesus died to establish a New Covenant, which, when received by faith, brings each individual freedom from sin.  This freedom was worth dying for and it is our heart that each individual remains free - neither sin nor religion should re-establish bondage in one's life. (Read Normal Christianity by J. Welton)

Victorious Eschatology

We believe that Jesus is going to physically return, judge, and resurrect in the future. In the meantime, the Kingdom of God will continue to grow and subdue the Earth. The prophecies of Daniel, Matthew 24 and Revelation were in regards to the events of 70 AD. (Read Raptureless by J. Welton.)

Fathering

We believe that spiritual models are necessary and important for spiritual growth. The widespread model of “covering” is a counterfeit of true relational fathering. There is no hierarchy in the Kingdom of God, but there are examples, which can be looked up to and can serve as foot-washers and encouragers to the body of Christ. (Read Authentic Spiritual Mentoring by J. Welton)

CORE VALUES

Our core values help to define the foundation on which our culture and lifestyles are built. Welton Academy, Sacramento has six core values

Freedom

We believe that Jesus died to give us freedom, therefore freedom should be valued and guarded. Everything we teach is intended to bring freedom through truth. Also “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom,” so our team believes that where I am, there is complete freedom. I carry a zone of freedom.

Investing

Investing is a long-term thinking. This impacts every aspect of life. Although it may cost more, buying quality only hurts you once. It is better to do something right the first time rather than do it twice. We believe that time is an un-renewable resource. There is always more money, but there is not more time. Operating in long-term thinking is king thinking, whereas short-term thinking is slave thinking. “A righteous man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children.” –Proverbs 13:22

Biblical

We have the highest respect for understanding and applying the Bible correctly. By having biblical as a value we have made a commitment to constant growth and change. We are willing to change our thinking, even hundreds or thousands of times.

Empowering Others

Empowering others is at the core of everything we do. We believe real Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers are first and foremost equippers and foot-washers. (Ephesians 4, John 13) Our heart is to see others step into their New Creation identity, fullness of freedom and walk out their destiny.

Relational

We hold a high value for being transparent, vulnerable, valuing relationships, and standing up for people. We will be relational leaders and leave a trail of Sons and Daughters behind us – not orphans.

Supernatural

By understanding the Bible correctly and living according to it, we have a high value for walking in the supernatural. To claim to have a high value for the Bible, but not walk in the supernatural is a form of hypocrisy.
